About the society

The Turkish-German-Health-Donation has existed since 1988. One of its main targets is the research of problems faced by Turkish fellow citizens in Germany and the following practical applications in medical precaution treatments. There are further offices in Germany and in Turkey next to the central institution in Giessen. Moreover the donation has close connections with national and international organisations in the field of health and social affairs. The Turkish-German-Health-Donation is financed by purpose bound public and private donations. Aims and Tasks of the donation: • Information of the Turkish population about diseases, their causes and possibilities for their treatment • Assembly of Turkish brochures for patients and consultants, especially about risk factors, and mass illnesses • Organisation and arrangement of patients’ seminars to give information about diseases • Arrangement of bilateral congresses of science in order to exchange experiences • Promotion of the Turkish Health System, especially the technical side of it • Planning and preparation of projects with Turkish youths for the training as care personnel in hospitals and different non-medical professions • Training of Turkish medicals in Germany • Scientific partnership with universities ( common projects, exchange of staff)
